At KRAFTCART, your privacy and peace of mind are our highest priorities. A+ Study Timer is designed from the ground up as a mindful productivity and deep study sanctuary. We operate under a strict 100% Local-First & Zero Data Selling commitment.

1. What We Never Do Guaranteed

  • Zero Personal Content Reading: We do NOT log, inspect, store, or transmit your messages, keystrokes, personal chats, emails, banking information, or passwords.
  • No Web Browsing History Logging: We do NOT record, track, or monitor your web browsing history or search queries.
  • Zero Data Selling: We will NEVER sell, lease, or monetize your study habits, personal info, or profile data to third-party data brokers or advertising networks.

2. Android Device Permissions & Local Processing

To shield you from compulsive digital distractions and keep your focus intact, A+ Study Timer utilizes specific Android system permissions. All blocking evaluation happens entirely locally on your device:

  • Usage Access (UsageStatsManager): Detects when a distracting app on your blocklist (such as short-form video feeds) comes to the foreground during an active study session. Zero browsing history is captured or sent outside your device.
  • Accessibility Service: Used exclusively to detect foreground application transitions and provide instant study redirects away from designated distracting apps. It is never used to read text, modify settings, capture keystrokes, or intercept credentials.
  • Display Over Other Apps (System Alert Window): Allows the gentle floating focus timer pill and mindful block screens to render seamlessly over distracting apps without interrupting emergency services or phone calls.
  • Foreground Service (Data Sync): Keeps your active focus countdown accurate and syncs study session tallies safely without battery drain or continuous background execution.
  • Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used solely to alert you when your timer completes, notify you of daily study reminders you choose to schedule, and display ongoing session status.

3. Information We Collect & Cloud Sync

If you choose to sign in (via Google Single Sign-On / Firebase Auth) to safeguard your study journey across devices, we securely store:

  • Account Credentials: Your Name, Email Address, and Unique User ID (Firebase UID).
  • Study Metrics: Total focus minutes, daily streaks, completed study tasks, and Focus Score.
  • Gamification Data: Focus Coins balance, unlocked study badges, and selected virtual themes.
  • Community Participation: Study groups you voluntarily join and your opt-in nickname on the student leaderboard.

All cloud data is transmitted over encrypted SSL/TLS channels and stored on secure Google Firebase Cloud infrastructure.

4. YouTube Study Mode & Whitelist Filtering

If you use YouTube Study Mode, the app locally filters distracting elements (such as Reels/Shorts and non-educational video recommendations) based solely on the curated channels or exam prep packs you whitelist. No YouTube account passwords or personal viewing history are harvested.

5. Account & Data Deletion Policy Play Store Compliant

You have full ownership of your data. You can permanently delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time through either of the following two methods:

Method A: 1-Tap Instant In-App Deletion (Recommended)

  • Open A+ Study Timer and navigate to the Profile tab.
  • Tap the Settings (Gear) icon in the top right corner.
  • Scroll down to the Account Management section.
  • Tap "Delete Account & Clear Data" and confirm your request.

Your entire profile, study history, day streak, coin balance, and group memberships are immediately and permanently erased from our live Firebase database.

Method B: Web / Email Deletion Request

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot access your phone, send an email to our dedicated data privacy desk at kraftcarthelp@gmail.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request" from your registered Google email address. Our engineering team will permanently purge all stored cloud records associated with your account within 48 hours.

6. Data Retention Policy

When you delete your account, all personal identifiers, focus stats, and coin ledgers are irrevocably deleted from active databases. Any residual encrypted database backups are automatically overwritten and purged within 30 days in accordance with international data protection standards.

Welcome to A+ Study Timer! These Terms of Service govern your use of the application, digital services, and related features created and maintained by KRAFTCART.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using A+ Study Timer, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use and uninstall the app.

2. App Purpose & Student Empowerment

A+ Study Timer is designed as a self-discipline and digital mindfulness utility to empower students preparing for exams (such as JEE, NEET, Boards, UPSC, and Coding interviews). The app assists in structuring study blocks, tracking daily habits, and shielding focus sessions against compulsive distractions.

3. Mindful App Shielding & System Permissions

You acknowledge that A+ Study Timer requires specialized system permissions (Accessibility, Usage Access, and System Alert Window) to detect active distractions and render focus shielding screens. While Strict Mode helps lock down distractions during your active timer, you always retain ultimate authority over your device through standard Android Settings.

4. Virtual Study Coins & Digital Rewards

The "Focus Coins" and study badges earned by completing focus intervals or maintaining daily streaks are virtual gamification elements. They possess no real-world monetary value, cannot be traded for fiat currency, and are non-transferable outside the app environment.

5. Acceptable Community Conduct

When participating in public or shared study spaces (such as Focus Groups or the Community Wall of Love), you agree not to submit offensive, defamatory, abusive, or copyrighted material. KRAFTCART reserves the right to remove any inappropriate content without prior notice.

6. Limitation of Liability

A+ Study Timer is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive for absolute software reliability, KRAFTCART shall not be held liable for missed alarms, third-party Android OS task killer interruptions, missed exam deadlines, or lost digital data. Students are encouraged to maintain independent study calendars for critical academic commitments.

7. Modifications & Inquiries

We may update these terms occasionally to reflect new productivity features or regulatory requirements. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance of updated terms.
